Tamara is a Remedial & Oncology Massage Therapist, and an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP), having attained her Bachelor of Exercise Science & Rehabilitation (Honours) in 2007, her Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice in 2012, and her Diploma of Remedial Massage and Oncology Massage Training (Level III Certified ) in 2015.
As an Accredited Exercise Physiologist Tamara has over a decades worth of experience in the health and fitness industry. Tamara has worked in a variety of setting which has developed her vast knowledge. She has worked in exercise prescription and rehabilitation in private practice, aged care, falls prevention and rehabilitation for osteoporosis, muskuloskeletal conditions, neurological conditions, metabolic conditions and cardiac health. She has also worked in the area of return to work, workers compensations, Medicare and DVA. She has many years of dancing and swimming teaching, hydrotherapy, gym and fitness class instruction and Remedial, Oncology and Pregnancy Massage Therapy.
Tamara has a clear understanding of the biomechanics of the body and movement analysis. As an AEP she takes a full bode, realistic approach to exercise interventions and prescreens for other contributing factors as well as developing skills for clients to better manage their health. As a massage therapist she seeks to restore the soft-tissue function of her clients by tailoring her massage therapy treatments to their individual needs.
Tamara is a proactive, positively-driven professional who is energetic, enthusiastic and dedicated to helping clients restore or better manage their health care for the body as it’s “One Body for Life”! She is passionate about health education as “knowledge is empowerment”!
